Where is The Grain Kitchen located?
The Grain Kitchen is located on site at The English Distillery, Harling Road, Roudham, Norwich, Norfolk, NR16 2QW.
What type of food does The Grain Kitchen serve?
We serve fresh, fun, flavoursome food with everything from breakfast and brunch to Sunday lunch or simply pop in for a coffee or cake.
What are your opening hours?
The Grain Kitchen is open daily from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Generally, the only days we are closed are Christmas Day and Boxing Day so you can rely on us to be open and ready for you!
Do I need to book a table?
Booking is recommended, especially during weekends, holidays, and for Sunday lunch service, but we do always try and keep space for walk ins. Even If the car park looks busy, pop in and see us, we have a big restaurant with plenty of space.
How can I book a table?
Guests can book through The Grain Kitchen website here or by calling the restaurant directly. Groups up to 12 can be booked online, for tables exceeding 12 people, please enquire using the link below and we will come back to you as soon as possible.
Can I bring a cake?
We are happy for you to bring cakes to celebrate a special occasion, but please be aware that we charge a small fee of £4pp to enjoy these in the restaurant and we will supply cutlery and napkins as needed. We also have plenty of cakes and desserts on offer all day every day too.
Do you offer vegetarian or vegan options?
Yes, The Grain Kitchen offers vegetarian dishes and selected vegan-friendly options.
Do you cater for allergens?
Yes, we do. We have separate gluten and dairy free menus and other alternative options are available to suit dietary needs. Guests should inform staff about any dietary requirements or allergies when ordering and staff will be happy to advise.
Do you serve breakfast all day?
Breakfast is served from 9:00am to 11.30am, with our brunch and lunch menu available from 11.30am. However, if you’re running a bit behind and really fancy a breakfast – please let us know – we will always do what we can to help!
Do you offer Sunday roasts?
Yes, our popular traditional Sunday lunches are available every Sunday from 12:00pm.
Do you serve coffee and cakes?
Yes, guests can enjoy coffee, cakes, pastries, and light refreshments throughout the day.
Is The Grain Kitchen family friendly?
Yes, The Grain Kitchen welcomes families and children and offers a relaxed dining environment suitable for all ages. We have a kids menu, highchairs available and colouring to keep little ones entertained!
Is there parking available?
Yes, free on-site parking is available for customers.
Is the restaurant wheelchair accessible?
Yes - the site is wheelchair accessible. It is step free from car park to restaurant entrance, it is all on one level, and we have an accessible disabled toilet. Please contact us directly for any other requirements.
Are dogs allowed?
Selected dog-friendly seating areas are available. These are in high demand are limited, booking highly advised. Please take note of our dog policy which is enforced for the comfort of all our customers. We even have a dog menu or treat them to a freshly cooked butchers sausage from the kitchen!

Yes, The Grain Kitchen offers space for private events, celebrations, and business meetings. Please contact us directly with more details on your event to see how we can assist.
Is The Grain Kitchen connected to The English Distillery?
Yes, The Grain Kitchen is located on site at The English Distillery site, making it a great stop before or after a distillery tour. The restaurant is run independently to the distillery so please contact them directly here for more information on their fantastic tours and wonderful whisky.
Do you host seasonal events or special menus?
Yes, special events and seasonal menus are occasionally offered throughout the year. Keep an eye on our social media and website for upcoming events. Our festive menus will be updated on our website when available.

Yes, walk-ins are welcome, although availability may vary during busy periods.

We offer takeaway coffee and cake and some of our menu is available to takeaway. Please contact the restaurant directly to check current takeaway availability.

Absolutely – we have plenty of seats outside overlooking the grounds of the distillery. Enjoy
